We would prefer 5 years or more work experience, but are willing to develop an enthusiastic mechanical engineer with a bachelor’s degree. Design new products as well as re-design existing products
Configure machinery to satisfy our customer’s special requirements
Ensure that designs adhere to ISO and CE standards and maintain the product’s documentation set
Revise designs to continually improve the quality of our products
Design within the product specifications taking cost, manufacturability, and reliability into consideration
Perform typical calculations, analysis, drawing, part definition, and bill of material work related to a project
Work directly with company or customer’s personnel to determine the cause of mechanical malfunctions and convey appropriate repair procedures
Prepare sales-related documents, including cost estimates and project scope of supply for machine design, customization and/or refurbishing/rebuild
Work directly with sales, aftermarket, purchasing, manufacturing, and assembly departments to resolve engineering-related issues
Communicate directly with vendors to obtain information and assistance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
5+ years of machine design experience preferred, but will consider entry-level applicants
Proficiency with 3D design software (preferably IDEAS) and Finite Element Analysis
Must demonstrate an understanding of all parts of machine design, such as dynamics, strength of materials, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Must demonstrate an understanding of GD&T
