NationaL Machinery CEO, Andrew H. KaLnow, presented a keynote address to the North American
Customer Conference of Anixter OEM SuppLy - Fastener in Wood DaLe, Chicago, ILlinois, USA.
The August conference was attended by invited representatives from Anlxter's major OEM customers and Included a tour of the Wood Dale manufacturing facility, which earlier this year saw, as part of a multi-phase investment program, the
commissioning of two National FORMAX Plus cold formers, as well as new thread
rolling technology from Italy 's Ingramatic. With a theme of "Not all fasteners are
created equal", Andrew Kalnow proposed to the audience of OEM fastener users a "Purchasers' check list for precision fasteners", which highlighted the necessity of ensuring product quality was to specification; supplier and supply chain were reliable; engineering solutions were available as needed; and good prices were delivered from efficient producers.
During the conference, director of manufacturing and development, Chris Sloncen, presented Andrew Kalnow with a new purchase order for a further investment in FORMAX technology for the Wood Dale plant. Andrew Kalnow commented : "I was
honored to have been invited to present to such an important assembly of fastener
customers and, of course, delighted that the performance of Wood Dale's first two FORMAX Plus has so quickly generated Anixter's confidence to make a further substantial investment with National Machinery.
