Product Overview
The FORMAX Cold Forming Machines for Extra-Long Parts combine the features of Formatrol PC advanced control system, powered preset adjustments for feed length and die kickout, precision zero-clearance heading slide guiding, transfer and adjustable punch knockouts in all stations. The FX44/45XL is arranged with the FORMAX 2000 style tooling for accurate offline setup. Precision and Speed are key with the FX45XL. The larger FXP85XL cold former can be arranged with a programmable tool changer for job changeovers at your finger tip, and includes the FORMAX Plus for Large Parts features.

Zero-Clearance Heading Slide Guiding
The Zero-Clearance Heading Slide is a 2-axis design that utilizes fixed liners that provide ‘Zero Clearance’ during the work stroke of the machine. Zero Clearance Heading Slide Guidance system precisely aligns punches to dies, and part concentricities are held to tolerances once thought impossible.

FORMAX is the only Cold Forming machine designed with heading slide liners that are Sealed to prevent foreign materials from damaging the liners and causing excess/pre-mature wear.
Straight Across
Transfer
FORMAX 2000’s zero clearance transfer system moves blanks across the dies. Is designed for greater machine speed and consistency than traditional transfers.
