Tooling Seminar Registration Form

The fees for the Tooling Design Seminars are per person as listed. Fees do not include expenses for travel and overnight accommodations for the in-person seminar.

Introduction to Cold Forming Principals

An intensive course for design engineers and others who want to learn the basics of cold forming and design criteria. Subjects range from upsetting and extrusions, to tolerances and materials.


Curriculum Includes:

  • Rules and techniques for metal forming

  • Tooling component design and construction

  • Part transfer applications

  • Punch and die kick-out

  • Part evaluation and shape development

  • Interference fits

  • Tooling materials

  • Metal working lubricants

  • Cold formability of various metals

Advanced Cold Forming Principals

A hands-on seminar for experienced tool designers. The course teaches techniques by utilizing our own patented QUIKCALC ePlus software. Subjects range from die design principles, load and energy calculations, to die construction.
 

Curriculum Includes:

  • The process of cold forming

  • Material properties / processing

  • Load and Energy calculations

  • Transfer techniques

  • Die construction

  • Die stress

  • Design techniques

  • Advanced design techniques

  • Tooling troubleshooting

In-Person Seminar Format:

  • Preregistration is required.

  • Each participant must sign a non disclosure agreement.

IN THE SEMINAR FEE: The fee includes all seminar materials, two lunches at National, and dinner the evening of the first day of the seminar.  Travel and living expenses are not included.

 

MEETING LOCATION: All sessions are held in our plant at 161 Greenfield Street, Tiffin, Ohio. They will begin promptly at 8:00 AM on the dates indicated and end at approximately 4:00 PM the last day.

 

HOTEL GUEST ROOMS: Hotel accommodations can be made by calling one of the following motels:

  • Hampton Inn of Tiffin at 419-443-5300

CONFIRMATION:
Fees must be received in full in along with your completed Registration and NDA form.  

CANCELLATIONS:
Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made up to two weeks before seminar begins. Cancellations received less than two weeks before the seminar are subject to a $150 administrative fee. Confirmed participants who do not cancel and do not attend are liable for the entire seminar fee. Confirmation of your attendance will be made to the first contact address or email, fax or phone number listed on your registration form, not your mailing address. A substitution can be made at any time and should be submitted in writing.
